Natalia Albert – Our hill walker from Mexico City
Why is this hi energy girl from Mexico City walking Wellington’s peaks and taking up to 30 women at a time with her?
She runs a group called The Women’s Walking Project and is also encouraging Kiwi’s to stop drinking for Febfast (we don’t drink that much do we?) and has bought the first TEDx talks for women to New Zealand. Hear why Natalia Albert can’t get enough of Wellington in this interview.
Chris Morley-Hall – from circuses to Cuba Street
Thanks to the Wellingtonian for the image.
Wellington’s funtimes creator, Chris Morley-Hall, came to talk to us about what films will be showing at . So I also took the opportunity to chat with him about some of the crazy moments at the legendary Cuba st. Carnival, the Whopper Chopper Seaside Extravaganza’s and riding around town in a bath.
Ashley Burgess – Wellington’s favourite cyclist
No wonder mountain bike instructor Ashley Burgess has won “Wellington’s favourite cyclist”, as her efforts in encouraging women, girls and kids onto bikes are extraordinary. She is part of and set up bike groups like , , WORD Wellington Offroad Riding Department, and Pedal Ready which gets kids ready for cycling. I don’t think we can do without her.
