Nadia Reid- the new folk generation

NR_1

I first saw Nadia Reid perform as the honorary support for Julia Deans at Paekakariki’s Village Hall. I then shouted myself her debut album, ‘listen to formation, look for the signs’ which I have had on high rotate since Christmas. I am still discovering the joy of it. Nadia is certainly part of the new generation of emerging kiwi folk artists, but this woman writes and sings way beyond her 23 years of life experience. I was very excited to interview Nadia this week and even more excited that she is back in Welly to play at Meow this Sunday the 28th June.
