But the gentleman reading puts me to sleep. I've heard more inflection in my meditation app. The narrator took me about 45 seconds to decide if he was a real person or AI. I had to speed it up to 1. Contents were pretty good. Each one is obvious on its own and is brought together in a way that is completely believable.
Buying on sale is definitely worth it. Paying a full credit may be worth it and maybe not for you. As a somewhat socially awkward person, I feel like I've learned a lot about reading people so that I have a better idea of what people are really thinking and feeling based on their nonverbal cues. The author emphasized that this knowledge will not turn you into a human lie detector, but will help you understand subtle tells indicating the comfort level of other people, making it easier to interact with them for desired results.
Am now looking for more books by this author. Highly recommended! Narrator emphasizes random words and sounds like a robot. Horribly distracting and thoroughly annoying. Such a shame to ruin a helpful book like this with a guy who keeps stressing every AND in the text, as well as other completely random words.
It's grueling to listen to the entire book solely because of the robotic narration. I wish someone would redo this with a decent narrator. Joe Navvaro - you've been conned, I am surprised that you accepted this subpar job that does your really great book such injustice. Again, such a pity.
I feel like I just need to finish the book after realizing and confirming that I am pretty much knowledgeable on how to read bodies even without reading this book. It caused me to be suspicious of people instead of being present. One thing I realize too is that one should never stop investigating and looking and to never conclude completely until one has all the knowledge of the person being observed.
I feel like while listening to it that I ask myself if this is worth my time since nothing significantly new is being learned. But for the time being I will depend on my own knowingness when I read people. After that, it started to go down hill. At first, just one bad edit, a weird blip in the sentence, but by an hour in the editing was so terrible I couldn't pay attention to the content.
It was like every single word of each sentence had been pulled from a different take, and been frankensteined together.
